The aim of this course is not just to familiarize you with the technologies of digital dentistry, but to successfully implement them in your clinic: from the purchase of equipment to the successful presentation of the treatment plan to the patient. All of this will be covered step by step in an online course from 3 European lecturers, experts in the field of digital dentistry.

You will learn how to choose the right materials depending on the clinical case and see the full range of materials available. It will also cover digital technology in dentistry for prosthodontics, immediate loading planning procedure, surgical treatment after planning, see all the steps from digital photography, digital radiologic examination, digital impressions to the last steps of prosthetic treatment.

You will learn how to choose the right materials depending on the clinical case and see the full range of materials available. It will also cover digital technology in dentistry for prosthodontics, immediate loading planning procedure, surgical treatment after planning, see all the steps from digital photography, digital radiologic examination, digital impressions to the last steps of prosthetic treatment.

Course programme

  • Digital world has definitely become a daily useful group of procedures in implant dentistry. From digital photography, to digital radiology to digital impression to the final steps of prosthetic harvesting.
  • In this lecture I illustrate the most common and easy to do procedures for planning with dedicated softwares who match SLT files and DICOM files. After planning, clinicians can decide to move to surgery with different digital approaches: Transfer the desired teeth position with a 3D printed prosthetic guide or with a more strict computer guide.
  • After implant positioning and healing period, an intra-oral scan or a conventional technique can be used for impression. Lab will untile in both cases, digital workflow to produce pieces and just at the end of the process will be realized the post-production and finalization by a hand made process.

  • Immediate loading require a very complex and complete planning procedure in order to ensure a prosthetically driven implant positioning and a high level of primary stability.
  • After planning, clinician need a way to transfer the project into the surgery. This stage is nowadays possible with different devices, all obtained from digital workflow. Temporary bridge and long term bridge are also produced with a digital approach.

Over this first series of lectures we will cover the basics of digital dentistry, understanding the importance of the analog world to achieve success in our daily practice. This initial lecture will cover:

Over this second lecture, we will go on detail over clinical cases how to understand the digital workflow and all the analog concepts applied for the success of our treatments, based on al the principles we have explained in lecture 1, we will cover cases:

  • Analog and Digital Ceramics: understanding the clinical situations to make the best election of material. From milling to pressed ceramic cases in interdisciplinary cases.
  • Tooth preparations cases, Veneers vs Crows/Digital vs Analog. How to make the best preparation in order to achieve a predictable result, either cases with analog or digital dentistry. From minimal cases to full mouth restorations.
  • Guided Surgery And Implantology: How to match the different files to get the correct information. Understand the different tipes and predictability of this techniques.
  • 3D Perio Guides: Based on Facially Driven Treatment plan, we will show cases with DSD concept and Perio Guides for a predictable and esthetic crown lengthening.

  • The aim of this presentation will about the integration of Invisalign and the restorative digital and analog workflow. Dentistry is changing in the past years for a more controlled and minimal invasive procedures, the combination between Invisalign and restorative will allow to complete less invasive dentistry with amazing esthetic and functional results.
  • We will cover all the workflow where dentist will understand who treatment planning and integration of the Invisalign procedures in their practice will allow them to have more control of the cases and more acceptance of the restorative part since it will be less invasive to the patient.
