Summary of the online course

Currently, implantation in an aesthetically significant area is required to obtain full aesthetics and function. However, there is often a lack of hard and soft tissue in this area.

This course presents techniques for achieving long-term success in the aesthetically significant area, analyzing the literature. Tactics and options for dealing with soft tissue, peri-implant mucosa, obtaining the necessary bone volume. Determining when to place the implant and obtain the best results functionally and aesthetically. An important aspect is the consideration of risk factors and choosing the right approach in bone and soft tissue correction depending on the position of the implant.

Course programme

  • Digital world definitely become a daily useful group of procedures in implant dentistry. From digital photography, to digital radiology to digital impression to the final steps of prosthetic harvesting.
  • In this lecture I illustrate the most common and easy to do procedures for planning with dedicated softwares who match SLT files and DICOM files. After planning, clinician ca decide to move to surgery with different digital approaches: Transfer the desired teeth position with a 3D printed prosthetic guide or with a more strict computer guide.

  • ‘Treatment of soft tissue around implants.’
  • The webinar will offer 2 main reasons for proper care of the peri-implant mucosa. Preventing oral mucosal inflammation and peri-implantitis promotes long-term results;
  • Surgical techniques can make the case for creating the ‘perfect’ foundation for an implant-assisted restoration and this webinar will offer all options for this purpose;
  • We will look at 5 different situations that can be used in each treatment case to create not only an invisible restoration but also a long term restoration.

  • In Implant Reabilitations in anterior areas we need to obtain the maximum aesthetics and functionality and keep them a lot;
  • Objectives to reach are: 2mm of keratinized mucosa width, 2/3mm of mucosal thickness, 3 mm of supracrestal tissue heights and adeguate (2mm minimum) of periimplant bone thickness;
  • The therapies and the times to reach these results could be differents, and in this webinar i describe how to do it to obtain an implant success in a particular anatomic area of mouth: incisive zone in which we have often a lack of bone and soft tissue;
  • Starting from an analysis of Literature today we have the techniques and the materials to create an ideal Implant reabilitation identical to natural tooth.

  • In this second part of lesson about phenotype I describe several clinical situations in aesthetics area with dirrerent levels of difficulty analyzing them through clinical, functional and aesthetics parameters;
  • I'll show, in these different clinical cases with a lot of photos of every single step and video, how to solve the therapy and to obtain the aesthetics and functional success.

  • When we have to extract a tooth, especially in anterior area of mouth, we have to decide the timing of implant position to obtain the best results from functional and aesthetics point of view;
  • The post extractive implant therapy could be type 1 (immediate), type 2 (6/8 weeks after), type 3 (16-20 weeks after), type 4 (after 6 months);
  • The analysis of clinical situations and of the risk factors can lead us to choose the right therapeutic approach, and to manage the ideal bone and soft tissue correction to match with implant position;
  • The target is to recreate the ideal Implant Phenotype and we can't go wrong, otherwise we could have serious implant failure.
